Proposes amending Article VIII of the Texas Constitution by adding Section 26 to prohibit the legislature from imposing a carbon tax

Specifically bans taxes on the carbon content of fuel

Prohibits taxes on emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases resulting from the use, production, or consumption of any good or service

Requires voter approval at an election to be held November 4, 2025

Ballot language would read: "The constitutional amendment prohibiting the imposition of a carbon tax"
