Memorial resolution honoring Thomas Morrell Terry Jr. of Cisco, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at age 87

Terry worked 30 years at the Baytown Refinery for Humble Oil Company (later Exxon), retiring in 1996 as a chief operator, and was instrumental in the startup of the Fuels North area in the late 1970s

While attending The University of Texas at Austin, he worked as a nighttime security guard at the State Capitol and as a nursing home administrator

Active in community service, including involvement in the Optimist Pee Wee football program where he purchased equipment for underprivileged children, and in later years ran errands for the homebound and visited nursing home residents

The Texas Senate adjourns in his memory and extends sympathy to his surviving children, five grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special friend of 20 years, Marilyn Preston
