Memorial resolution honoring George Sampson Nalle III, a Texas veteran, businessman, and preservationist who died January 9, 2025, at age 79

Nalle served in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant in military intelligence at Torii Station in Okinawa, Japan, supporting efforts during the Vietnam War

Developed the Treemont neighborhood in Austin and created Heritage Square, relocating and restoring eight historic Texas homes for use as office spaces, earning a Preservation Austin Award

Served on the boards of the Heritage Society of Austin, Austin History Center, and Knights of the Symphony, and was recognized as an expert on Japanese swords and samurai culture

The Texas Senate adjourns in his memory and extends condolences to his surviving family, including children Brian Nalle and Karey Oddo and four grandchildren
