Texas Senate Resolution 663 honors the memory of Gary Daniel Penkilo of Tyler, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at age 57

Penkilo was born July 7, 1967, in Parkville, Maryland, graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, and earned a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin in 1990

He had a 28-year career at Henry and Peters accounting firm starting in 1996, became a CPA in 1998, and was named partner in 2004

Penkilo was active in civic organizations including Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Contact Club, Leadership Tyler Class XV, and served as treasurer for the American Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Gala

The resolution extends condolences to his wife Monica, daughters Ava and Anna, and other family members, and directs the Senate to adjourn in his memory
