Memorial resolution honoring James N. Muns, former mayor of Plano, who passed away on March 6, 2025, at age 93

Served on Plano City Council from 1981 to 1987 and was elected mayor in 1992, serving four years during which Plano received the All-America City Award

Rose to president of Wyatt Food Stores in 1978, expanding the company to more than 120 locations across 9 states before selling in 1988 and founding Muns Enterprises L.P.

Named Plano Citizen of the Year in 1995 and served as director of the North Texas Commission and chair of the Presbyterian Hospital Plano board

Texas Senate adjourned on June 1, 2025, in his memory and extended sympathy to his four children, 11 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren
