Texas Senate Resolution 680 honors the memory of Mary Pollard Heines of Tyler, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at age 92

Mary Pollard Heines was the daughter of State Senator Tomas G. Pollard Sr., graduated as valedictorian of Tyler High School in 1949, and earned a degree in radio, television, and film from The University of Texas at Austin in 1953

She had a 25+ year career in commercial real estate as property manager, leasing agent, and asset manager for Pollard Heines Buildings

She was active in civic organizations including the Philanthropic Educational Organization, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the Republic of Texas

The resolution extends sympathy to her surviving family, including brother Jack W. Pollard, three sons (Blair, Martin, and Clinton), grandchildren, and a great-grandson, and directs the Senate to adjourn in her memory
