Memorial resolution honoring Elizabeth Ann Seligman McCarty, who died on November 7, 2024, at age 72

McCarty was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 29, 1952, graduated from Highland High School in 1970, and earned her nursing degree from the University of New Mexico

Began her nursing career at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, where she met her husband Christopher McCarty, and later worked at clinics and medical centers in the Brenham area

Served more than two decades as mobile district director for State Senator Lois Kolkhorst and as the Kolkhorst campaign accountant

Resolution adopted by the Texas Senate on March 26, 2025, by a rising vote, with the Senate adjourning in her memory
