Surviving spouses of veterans who remarry would no longer lose Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) benefits under sections 1311 or 1562 of title 38

Surviving spouses of service members who died on active duty would retain Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) annuity payments regardless of remarriage, eliminating the current termination upon remarriage before age 55

Surviving spouses who remarried before age 55 and before enactment would have their SBP annuity payments resumed within one year of the law taking effect

TRICARE eligibility would expand to include remarried widows or widowers whose subsequent marriage ended due to death, divorce, or annulment
