Standards development must consider evolving demands of precision agriculture, connectivity needs, cybersecurity challenges, and impacts of 5G/advanced wireless technology and artificial intelligence

Precision agriculture equipment includes GPS mapping, satellite imagery, yield monitors, soil sensors, IoT/cloud computing technology, data management software, auto-steer systems, and variable rate application technology

"Trusted" providers and suppliers must not be owned, controlled, or influenced by foreign adversaries as determined by the Secretary

GAO must conduct assessments of the standards 1 year after development and every 2 years thereafter for 8 years, reporting to Senate and House agriculture and technology committees
