Secretary of Agriculture must submit annual assessments to Congress on U.S. dependency on critical agricultural products and inputs from China that could be weaponized

Assessment must evaluate domestic production capacity and supply chain bottlenecks for critical inputs including agricultural equipment, fuel, fertilizers, animal feed, veterinary drugs, crop protection chemicals, and seed

Secretary must provide recommendations to reduce dependency on China, including legislative and regulatory actions to onshore or nearshore production of critical agricultural inputs

Information collection from private entities is voluntary, and all data must be reported in aggregate form that protects the identity of individual suppliers

Trade secrets and confidential business information are protected from disclosure and may only be used for conducting the required assessments
