Secretary of the Interior must design and deliver modernized electronic permitting systems to accept, process, and record permit applications, plan submissions, payments, and related correspondence for Department-regulated activities

Department must create a centralized online repository on its website with hyperlinks to all electronic permitting systems and contact information for employees assisting State, Tribal, and local governments

Secretary must provide periodic updates to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on implementation progress

Information protected under FOIA exemptions (5 U.S.C. 552(b)) or other federal law cannot be disclosed, and duplication of existing systems is prohibited

Secretary must consult with States, local governments, Indian Tribes, and stakeholders during system development, and ensure systems align with National Environmental Policy Act priorities under the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023
