Focus areas include major drug trafficking corridors across the United States and remote, insular, or hard-to-reach communities

Secretary must consult with heads of relevant federal departments and agencies in preparing the assessment

Report goes to the House Committee on Homeland Security and Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
