Secretary of the Treasury required to mint commemorative coins honoring Selena Quintanilla in 2029: up to 50,000 $5 gold coins, 400,000 $1 silver coins, and 750,000 half-dollar clad coins

Coin designs must be emblematic of Selena Quintanilla's life and accomplishments, with at least one obverse bearing her image, selected by the Secretary in consultation with the Friends of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History

Surcharges of $35 per $5 coin, $10 per $1 coin, and $5 per half-dollar coin will be distributed to the Friends of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History for museum operations and a Selena exhibit

Coins will be issued in uncirculated and proof qualities only during calendar year 2029, with legal tender status

Minting must result in no net cost to the federal government, with all production costs recovered before surcharges are disbursed to the designated recipient
