Secretary of Veterans Affairs must establish a 2-year pilot program, in coordination with the Secretaries of Agriculture and Interior, to employ veterans in federal wildland firefighting positions

VA administers the program while Agriculture and Interior identify and fill vacant positions in forestry, rangeland, aviation, dispatch, heavy equipment, and fire management roles

Program may be integrated with the Department of Defense SkillBridge program to help service members transition to civilian careers

Three reports required to Congress: initial report within 60 days of enactment, implementation report at 1 year, and final report within 30 days of conclusion tracking veteran applicants, hires, and transitions to full-time federal employment

Guidelines must incorporate lessons learned from VA's Warrior Training Advancement Course and identify cost-saving methods for veteran transition programs
