Secretary of Housing and Urban Development must establish a grant program within 180 days of appropriation to fund tree planting in historically redlined areas and urban heat island zones

Eligible grant recipients include state, territorial, tribal, and local government agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations partnering with these entities

Grant funds may cover project planning and design, tree purchases, site preparation, planting labor, and up to 5 years of tree maintenance and monitoring

Priority given to applicants with housing policies that minimize displacement of current residents; applicants must submit 5-year timelines and develop community participation plans

Authorizes $50 million annually for fiscal years 2026 through 2036
