Secretary of the Interior must remove the brass plaque bearing "Senator Francis G. Newlands" from the memorial fountain at Chevy Chase Circle in Washington, D.C.

Stone tablet bearing "Francis Griffith Newlands" and related inscription must be removed from the south end of the fountain's face

The name "Newlands" carved into the fountain's coping stones must be removed or permanently concealed

Removed items must be offered to Newlands' descendants for 60 days; if unclaimed, the National Park Service will accession them into the Rock Creek Park museum collection as federal property
