Secretary of the Interior may extend leases within National Park System units without opening them to competitive bidding, bypassing requirements in 36 CFR sections 18.7 and 18.8

Extensions are only available to lessees who entered their lease at least 5 years before the extension takes effect and are in compliance with all lease terms and conditions

National Park Service Director must determine that extending the lease serves the best interests of administering the applicable park unit

Secretary of the Interior must revise 36 CFR Part 18 within 90 days of enactment to reflect this new lease extension authority
