Secretary of Veterans Affairs would provide grants to States and American Indian/Alaska Native tribes to conduct "Ask the Question Campaigns" that train human services professionals, governments, and community providers to ask consumers whether they or a loved one served in the Armed Forces

Eligible entities must develop a veteran suicide prevention plan (called a "Governors Challenge Action Plan" for States) and submit an implementation proposal to the Secretary

Grants capped at $200,000 each, with up to 25 grants awarded annually for fiscal years 2026 through 2030

$6,000,000 authorized annually for fiscal years 2026-2030, with funds usable for training, staffing, technology, marketing materials, and convenings

Secretary must coordinate with the Office of Management and Budget to implement Ask the Question Campaigns across federal agencies providing social services or health care
