Designates 34 miles of the Myakka River in Sarasota County, Florida as a component of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, with segments classified as wild (14.4 miles), scenic (17.1 miles), or recreational (1.5 miles)

Secretary of the Interior will administer the river in partnership with the existing Myakka River Management Coordinating Council, though the designation does not make it a National Park System unit

Limits federal land acquisition to donations or purchases with owner consent only; prohibits condemnation of any land or property interests

Accepts the existing Myakka River Wild and Scenic Management Plan developed by the Council as satisfying federal comprehensive management plan requirements

Authorizes cooperative agreements with Florida's Department of Environmental Protection, Sarasota County, cities of North Port and Venice, and local nonprofit organizations for long-term protection of the river
