Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Veterans Affairs must jointly submit a report to Congress within 120 days on current medical provider credentialing and privileging systems, including scope, data types, portability, interoperability, and limitations

By January 1, 2027, both Secretaries must select one existing system to serve as the unified credentialing and privileging system for medical providers across both departments

The unified system must have capability to import and share provider credentialing and privileging information between DOD and VA

By January 1, 2028, both Secretaries must certify to Congress that the joint credentialing system has been implemented and is operational

Domestic Policy Council must be consulted on both the initial report and system selection
