Secretary of Veterans Affairs must complete within 18 months a review of all veteran suicides during the preceding five-year period for veterans who received VA hospital care or medical services

Review must include demographic data (age, gender, race), comprehensive medication lists at time of death, and identification of drugs with black box warnings, off-label use, psychotropic classifications, or suicidal ideation warnings

Review must analyze concurrent medication prescribing patterns, percentage of veterans not on VA-prescribed medications, and percentage with combat experience or trauma (including military sexual trauma, TBI, and PTSD)

VA must identify facilities with high prescription and suicide rates, describe medication prescribing policies, note patterns, and provide recommendations to improve veteran safety and well-being

Report must be submitted to Congress and made publicly available within 30 days of review completion
