Summary of H.R. 6913 - Northwest California Wilderness, Recreation, and Working Forests Act

• Establishes the South Fork Trinity-Mad River Restoration Area covering approximately 871,414 acres of federal land in Northern California to restore fire-resilient forests, protect aquatic habitat, reduce wildfire threats, and enhance recreational opportunities

• Designates approximately 260,000+ acres of new wilderness areas and wilderness additions across 16 different areas in the Six Rivers, Shasta-Trinity, and Mendocino National Forests, including new wilderness designations for Chinquapin, Pattison, Underwood, and South Fork Trinity River areas

• Adds over 300 miles of California rivers and streams to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, including segments of the South Fork Trinity River, North Fork Trinity River, Middle Fork Eel River, Redwood Creek, and numerous tributaries

• Creates the Bigfoot National Recreation Trail (pending feasibility study), the Elk Camp Ridge Recreation Trail for off-highway vehicles and mountain bikes, and establishes the Horse Mountain and Sanhedrin Special Management Areas totaling approximately 19,700 acres

• Establishes the California Public Land Remediation Partnership to coordinate remediation of federal lands damaged by illegal marijuana cultivation and other illegal activities, with members from federal, state, tribal, and local agencies
