Secretary of the Interior must complete an assessment within 1 year of enactment identifying the implementation status of Next Generation 9-1-1 systems at National Park emergency communications centers, along with estimated purchase, maintenance, and operation costs

Assessment results and a report identifying implementation issues (jurisdictional, technological, legal) must be submitted to Congress and posted on the Department of the Interior website

Secretary must develop an installation plan for Next Generation 9-1-1 systems within 1 year after the assessment report is submitted

Plan development requires consultation with state and local emergency officials, stakeholders, and federal agencies including the Department of Commerce, Department of Transportation, and FCC to ensure interoperability

Parks where superintendents determine Next Generation 9-1-1 systems are already installed or being installed are exempt from the installation plan requirements
