Study must evaluate AI applications for reducing administrative burden in scheduling, claims processing, documentation, prior authorization, and electronic health records

Study must assess how AI can detect, prevent, and mitigate cybersecurity threats to health care providers, including ransomware and data breaches

Secretary must consult with NIST, NIH, academic institutions, AI developers, health care providers, hospital associations, and patient privacy experts

Report due to Congress 6 months after study completion, including findings, assessment of existing AI tools, recommendations for pilot programs, and policy options for implementation and oversight
