Secretary of Commerce must conduct a study on how AI technology impacts telecommunications network security within 1 year of enactment

Study must analyze AI applications for network improvements including real-time threat detection, zero trust security, network resiliency, energy efficiency, and integrated sensing/communications

Study must examine AI use with Open Radio Access Network technology, virtualized security technology, and network security controls like firewalls and segmentation

Secretary must consult with the FCC and industry stakeholders on AI use for telecom security, including research and development activities

Report with study results and potential legislative recommendations must be submitted to House Energy and Commerce Committee and Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, with public comment opportunity provided beforehand
