Working Group would be co-chaired by representatives from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with U.S. participation from USTR, Commerce, State, Homeland Security, Interior, Labor, and Transportation departments

Group's duties include enhancing North American travel and tourism competitiveness, increasing exports of tourism services, exchanging information on travel policies, and developing initiatives to facilitate international visitation

Travel and tourism was the top U.S. services export in 2024 at approximately $214 billion, supporting a $35 billion trade surplus; industry overall worth $1.3 trillion and 15 million U.S. jobs

Canada and Mexico account for approximately half of international visitors to the U.S., with Canada alone generating 20.4 million visits and $20.5 billion in spending in 2024
