Army Corps of Engineers District Commanders must provide annual briefings (virtual or in-person) to each Member of Congress whose district overlaps with Corps projects located within watersheds

Briefings must cover project location, status, timeline delays, funding expended, estimated remaining costs, itemized expenses, environmental and community impacts, and public engagement summaries

District Commanders who fail to provide briefings by December 1 must submit written explanations by December 31, including reasons for the delay and plans to reschedule

If a District Commander fails to submit the written statement within 30 days of the deadline, the Army Inspector General must investigate and report findings with recommendations to affected congressional offices and relevant committees

Relevant oversight committees include House Armed Services, House Transportation and Infrastructure, Senate Armed Services, and Senate Environment and Public Works
