Requires the Secretary of Education to develop best practices for secure firearm storage and suicide prevention within 1 year, in consultation with ATF, CDC, NIH, SAMHSA, DHS, FBI, law enforcement, educators, and non-profit organizations not affiliated with the firearm industry

Mandates local educational agencies receiving federal funding to create and distribute firearm safety guidance to students, parents, and school staff annually, beginning with the 2027-2028 academic year

Guidance must cover secure storage methods, risks of unsecured firearms, suicide prevention strategies, how to acquire free storage devices, and what students should do if they encounter an unsecured firearm

Materials must remain neutral and cannot encourage or discourage firearm ownership; must include information about the Second Amendment and relevant federal and state laws

Defines "secure storage device" as safes, lock boxes, trigger locks, or cable locks designed to prevent unauthorized firearm access
