H.R. 7608 - Southeast Asian Deportation Relief Act of 2026

• Prohibits detention or removal of nationals of Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam who entered the United States on or before January 1, 2008 and have continuously resided in the country since entry

• Provides 5-year renewable work permits and employment authorization for eligible individuals covered under the deportation halt

• Requires the Attorney General to grant motions to reopen or reconsider removal cases for Cambodian, Laotian, and Vietnamese nationals ordered removed since April 24, 1996, vacating prior removal orders and providing government-funded transportation for those already deported to return for proceedings

• Reduces supervision requirements for covered individuals from in-person check-ins to virtual appearances no more than once every 5 years

• Mandates DHS provide notice of the Act's provisions to affected individuals within 60 days and allows judicial review in federal district court for violations
