H.R. 7621 - Stop ICE Election Militarization Act

• Amends 18 U.S.C. § 593 to extend existing prohibitions on Armed Forces interference with elections to also cover immigration officers as defined under the Immigration and Nationality Act

• Prohibits immigration enforcement or removal operations during the 4-week period before any federal election

• Allows two exceptions to the pre-election enforcement restriction: operations based on particularized criminal probable cause related to a specific individual, or operations necessary to prevent imminent death or serious bodily injury

• Introduced February 20, 2026 by Rep. Larson (D-CT) with 8 Democratic co-sponsors and referred to the House Judiciary Committee
