CACFP serves more than 4,500,000 children and 120,000 adults daily, providing nearly 1,700,000,000 nutritious meals and snacks annually through childcare centers, family daycare homes, emergency shelters, after-school programs, and adult daycare centers

Urges strengthening CACFP by offering reimbursement for an additional meal/snack for full-day care, reducing area eligibility from 50% to 40%, and providing annual eligibility for for-profit childcare centers

Research shows CACFP participation reduces prevalence of underweight, overweight, and obesity in children while improving cognitive, social, emotional, and physical health outcomes

Recognizes CACFP as a public-private partnership supporting working families, small businesses, Head Start programs, military childcare, and rural providers
