Secretary of Health and Human Services must develop and submit to Congress a comprehensive rural hospital cybersecurity workforce development strategy within 1 year of enactment

Strategy development requires consultation with CISA, Department of Education, Department of Labor, National Cyber Director, and at least 2 rural healthcare provider representatives from each of the 9 Census Bureau geographic divisions

HHS must publish free instructional materials on its website within 1 year to train rural hospital staff on fundamental cybersecurity practices, including an awareness campaign to promote the materials

Secretary must provide annual briefings to Congress on strategy updates, training programs established, number of individuals trained, and effectiveness in addressing rural hospital cybersecurity workforce needs

No additional funds are authorized for implementation; covered facilities include critical access hospitals, sole community hospitals, medicare-dependent small rural hospitals, low-volume hospitals, and rural emergency hospitals
