Allows Medicare to reimburse psychological services provided by advanced psychology trainees working under the general supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist, with the supervising psychologist billing for the services

Defines "advanced psychology trainees" as doctoral interns completing at least one year of supervised training through an APA-accredited program, or postdoctoral residents in 1-2 year supervised training programs seeking licensure

Requires HHS to develop a "GC" modifier billing code within 1 year to identify services furnished by advanced psychology trainees

Directs HHS to issue guidance to states within 1 year on strategies to cover trainee services under Medicaid and CHIP, including recommended legal mechanisms, billing codes, and examples of states using waivers

Coverage provisions take effect 1 year after enactment; bill introduced July 17, 2025 by Senators Barrasso (R-WY) and Bennet (D-CO)
