Medicare Part B will pay suppliers for titanium or carbon fiber ultralightweight manual wheelchairs at standard reimbursement rates under existing payment rules

Allows suppliers to charge Medicare beneficiaries the difference between Medicare's payment amount and the supplier's actual charge for premium-material wheelchairs

Requires suppliers to provide advance notice to beneficiaries of their potential out-of-pocket costs before purchasing or renting ultralightweight wheelchairs with titanium or carbon fiber construction
