Secretary of the Interior would conduct a feasibility study for constructing a water supply project serving the Dakota Mainstem Regional Water System service area in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota

Project would provide municipal, rural, and industrial water supply to the four-state region

Federal share of study costs capped at 50%, with the Dakota Mainstem Regional Water System (a nonprofit corporation) as the non-Federal partner

$10,000,000 authorized for appropriations to carry out the study

Authority to conduct the study expires 10 years after enactment
