States must provide recipient-level data, case file information, and other SNAP program data to the Secretary of Agriculture upon request as a condition of program participation

Data must be transmitted within 30 days of request, or sooner if the Secretary establishes a shorter timeline for urgent program integrity, audit, or investigative purposes

The Secretary may withhold or suspend Section 16 funds from states that fail to comply with data requests

Data received must comply with federal privacy safeguards including the Privacy Act of 1974, but may be disclosed to federal or state law enforcement agencies for program administration or enforcement purposes
