All future authorizations for the use of military force (AUMFs) and declarations of war would automatically terminate 10 years after their enactment date

All existing AUMFs and declarations of war enacted before this Act would terminate 6 months after the Act's enactment

Introduced February 27, 2025 by Senators Durbin, Welch, and Schiff and referred to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations

Would require Congress to affirmatively reauthorize any ongoing military operations to continue beyond the termination deadlines
