Election officials must post the name, voter precinct number, and date of signature of registered voters who sign candidate nomination petitions on the lieutenant governor's website for at least 90 days after an election, regardless of whether the voter's registration record is classified as private.

Voters who sign nomination petitions must receive email notification that their information has been posted publicly and that they may request removal of their signature by submitting a written statement within three business days of the posting.

Nomination petition forms must include a notice warning signers that their name, voter precinct number, and signature date may be publicly disclosed on the lieutenant governor's website.

The deadline for candidates seeking nomination through signature gathering is moved earlier, from 14 days to 21 days before the party convention date.

The bill takes effect on January 1, 2027.
