Creates a five-year Gold Medal Schools Pilot Program to promote physical activity, healthy eating habits, and nutrition in eligible elementary schools (K-6) located in third through sixth class counties

State Board of Education administers the program contingent on the Department of Health and Human Services receiving federal funding sufficient to cover program costs

Participating schools must submit applications outlining measurable health goals and evidence-based strategies, with priority given to schools demonstrating greatest need for health improvement

Program funds distributed equally among selected schools, with the State Board limited to 6.25% for administrative costs; program implementation begins in the 2027-28 school year

Program sunsets July 1, 2031; State Board must report to Education or Health and Human Services Interim Committees upon request regarding implementation, progress, and health outcomes
