Updates Utah's State Fire Code by adopting the 2024 editions of the International Fire Code, NFPA 1 (Marijuana Facilities), NFPA 54 (Fuel Gas Code), and NFPA 58 (Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code), replacing previous 2021 and 2018 editions

Establishes specific conditions under which residential dwellings may be required to have automatic fire sprinkler systems, including properties in wildland-urban interface areas, locations without public water systems with hydrants, access roads with grades exceeding 10%, or dwellings exceeding 10,000 square feet

Modifies emergency evacuation drill requirements for schools, allowing secondary schools to conduct four drills per school year (instead of monthly) and permitting substitution of some evacuation drills with security drills including shelter-in-place or lockdown exercises

Updates carbon monoxide detection requirements for Group E (educational) occupancies, specifying installation in boiler rooms, kitchens with gas appliances, auto shops, labs with open flames, and HVAC units drawing potentially contaminated outside air

Repeals Section 15A-5-303 regarding NFPA amendments related to fireworks manufacture, transportation, storage, and retail sales, with an effective date of July 1, 2026
