Regulated residential facilities (including residential treatment programs, residential support programs, recovery residences, and social detoxification facilities) must notify all property owners and residents within 300 feet of their location within 30 days before or after beginning operations.

Notice to neighbors must include the facility's location, description of treatment focus, and contact information (phone number and email) for a facility representative.

Congregate care programs and domestic violence treatment facilities are excluded from the new notification requirements.

Notice may be delivered by mail or by attaching it to the main entrance of each nearby property or residence.
