Removes requirements for school community councils to partner with principals on internet filtering, develop safety principles with students and educators, and hold annual safety discussions with administrators

Requires school districts and administrators to provide annual reports to school community councils outlining processes for maintaining safe school environments, including responsible online experiences for students

Requires school community councils to document votes on council size changes in their rules of order and procedure

Eliminates provisions allowing parent members who are educators employed by the school district to serve, and removes the requirement for councils to appoint additional parents to maintain non-educator parent majority

Effective date: May 6, 2026
