Beginning January 28, 2027, health care providers are prohibited from providing hormonal transgender treatment (cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers) to minors who would be younger than 16 years old as of the bill's effective date or who have not already received cross-sex hormones

Maintains existing prohibition on hormonal transgender treatment for minors not diagnosed with gender dysphoria before January 28, 2023

Providers may administer treatment to minors for the purpose of discontinuing treatment before January 28, 2027, without obtaining transgender treatment certification

Repeals Section 26B-1-239, which required systematic medical evidence review of hormonal transgender treatments

Violations constitute unprofessional conduct; default effective date is May 6, 2026
