Requires businesses servicing carbon dioxide systems (100+ pounds capacity) to obtain a license from the state fire marshal beginning January 1, 2027

Requires individuals who service carbon dioxide systems to obtain certification from the state fire marshal, with exceptions for fire officers and trainees supervised by certified individuals during their first 45 business days

Directs the Utah Fire Prevention Board to establish rules, application forms, and fees for the new licensing and certification program

Defines "carbon dioxide system" to include storage/dispensing systems, associated appliances, pipes, tubing, fittings, required signage, and gas detection equipment

Takes effect May 6, 2026
