General plans must now address the maintenance and enhancement of wildlife habitat connectivity and migration corridors as a required element

Land use elements in general plans must consider how land use categories will impact hunting opportunities, wildlife habitat connectivity, and wildlife migration corridors

The Department of Natural Resources is required to provide relevant wildlife impact information to municipalities and counties upon request to assist with their planning considerations

The bill takes effect on May 6, 2026
