Individuals under 65 who qualify for Medicare due to disability or end-stage renal disease may enroll in Medicare supplement insurance plans if they apply within 180 days of enrolling in Medicare benefits

Insurers must offer Medicare supplement plans to individuals under 65 at the same premium rate charged to 65-year-olds

During the enrollment period, insurers cannot deny coverage, impose medical underwriting, discriminate based on health status, or exclude preexisting conditions for eligible applicants under 65

A special enrollment period runs from June 1, 2026 to December 1, 2026 for individuals under 65 currently enrolled in Medicare Part B due to disability or end-stage renal disease
