Public schools prohibited from joining activities associations that impose eligibility waiting periods on students who transfer for the first time during high school through open enrollment or school choice programs

Transfer students who move their primary residence into a school's geographic boundaries cannot be subject to ineligibility periods by activities associations

Students who transfer due to documented bullying at their previous school are protected from eligibility waiting periods, with evidence accepted through hearings or parent-submitted documentation regardless of whether the sending school certifies the bullying occurred

Public schools cannot participate in activities associations that allow students to receive compensation for participating in interscholastic activities
