USDB superintendent appointment authority shifts from the State Board of Education to the state superintendent of public instruction, with state board approval required

Beginning July 1, 2027, when USDB becomes a student's designated LEA, the student's LEA of record must count the student in enrollment and remit 95% of associated per pupil, state, and federal funding to USDB
