Peace officer applicants with expunged or dismissed felony convictions may now be admitted to certified training academies and take certification exams if at least 10 years have passed since conviction with no subsequent criminal offenses

Dispatcher applicants with expunged or dismissed felony convictions may take certification exams under the same 10-year waiting period requirement

Applicants remain disqualified if their conviction was for a violent felony or sexual offense, or if they are classified as a restricted person under state or federal law who cannot lawfully possess dangerous weapons

Amends Utah Code Sections 53-6-203 and 53-6-302 to create these new pathways for individuals with certain criminal histories
