Grants governmental immunity from lawsuits for injuries or damages resulting from firearm discharges by individuals when firearm possession is legally permitted on government-owned, leased, or controlled property

Creates an exception to governmental immunity if government entities, officers, or employees actively encourage or aid a firearm discharge for an unlawful purpose

Expands the definition of "property occupant" for firearm liability protections to include legal entities (not just individuals) and removes the requirement that the property be privately owned

Preserves existing tenant responsibilities to landlords under lease agreements despite the expanded liability protections

Takes effect May 6, 2026
